alittle bit of this and that…

View over some smaller projects that I’ve done that vary from
works within film, motion, illustration, photography, and
alittle of everything in between!

nel momento

photography / rome, italy

Nel Momento captures the art of “living in the moment”. Struck by Covid-19, Italy reopens itself to both its citizens and tourists within the summer of 2021; allowing for the experience to study abroad during a pandemic. Through moments never seen before, like tourist attractions absent of tourists and temperature measurement entries everywhere, these were pure and simple moments I captured that reminded of the beauty and culture of Italy as it was before.

back to black vinyl

vinyl packaging

As an homage to one of my dad’s favorite albums that dominated my childhood, I designed a vinyl layout of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. Inspired by the relationship of heavy and emotional lyrics to the upbeat and groovy movement of jazz intertwined within Winehouse’s songs, a flowy pattern was created. The pattern intertwines itself through the illustrations and spaces just as Winehouse’s musical expression did within this album.

matisse posters

illustration / print

Inspired by the exhibition of Matisse in the 1930’s at the Philadelphia Museam of Art, I illustrated some of my favorite sketches of Matisse and combined them using the technique of collaging. While staying true to Matisse’s style, I implemented my own sketching style and elements to make these posters feel familiar yet modern.

travel posters

illustration / print

As a lover of travelling, I illustrated a series of posters of cities that I have visited or plan to visit within a narrative composition. Using a texture background with solid color blocks, white details give both life and a vision to each cities’ personality.

In order as showcased below, the illustrated cities include Paris,France, Tokyo,Japan, Cairo,Egypt, Rio,Brazil, Sydney,Australia, and San Franciso,USA.

parasite

movie title sequence animation

Oscar winning film Parasite, follows the political and social class relationship of the struggling Kim family to that of the rich Park family. Intertwined with deception and parasitism, director Bong Joon-ho showcases the theme of wealth disparity and the human conflict with the inequality that comes with wealth.

This animation follows the theme of climbing up the social ranks as the “camera” walks through the low neighborhoods
of the Kim family up to the rich and spacious house of the Park family.
